Spending nearly 7 years honing his skills in-house at the ZM Network in Auckland, New Zealand, wizzFX Creative Director Chris Nicoll took the station sound in a new direction. ZM imaging was consistently recognised every year at the New Zealand Radio Awards, with 13 nominations and 7 wins. His ZM work has also been recognised internationally at the Radio And Production Magazine Awards in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Since relocating to the UK, ZM has approached wizzFX to redesign their Newsbeat Package. The brief? To create an update of the previous package (which had occupied the airwaves for 5 years), whilst modernising and building a new station defining sound. Five cuts were provided.
