Stream ripping is becoming a big problem…
Two stories about this, will it have implications for Radio Imaging since we all sample stuff to create our work?
Stream ripping aside, here’s how I source drops, fx and music!
Sites I frequent to find useful content:
- Spotify
- Beatport
- Soundcloud
- HypeMachine
- YouTube
How could I get stuff off to use in my Radio Imaging?
*Just remember to think about whether it’s legal for you to use these tools to do what you’re gonna be doing – I’m not a lawyer so I can’t answer that for you!*
Other sources, that cost money:
- Production Services – like the one I work for called IMGR.
- Buyout Sound Design – like the resources of this site, but there are loads of great ones!
Albert To at Kiss 92.5 in Toronto made these awesome Canada Day Beatmixes
Great example of a load of sourced content mixed into a consistent station sound!

Hi,I find your work really inspiring, how kind of you to share. I have been trying to sign up for your free email courses, but whenever I suscribe, I never receive any mail with a link in it like it says I would. Also,I use Adobe Audition for my production work, would you ever make a tutorial for adobe users?
Hi Chika,
Thanks for the comment. Have you checked your spam? Perhaps it’s ended up in there. The things I discuss in all my courses are applicable to whatever DAW you’re using – if you ever have any questions just reach out!
