TRIP024 – Behind The Scenes – FutureIMGR, Jake Cusworth
Ableton Live 10 is coming out soon…
I use it sometimes, and this video explains some of the awesome new features:
ALSO, SoundToys have a free plugin for you to grab right now!
At least, until November 22nd, 2017 when you’ll have to start paying for it. It’s called Little Plate, it looks like a reverb plugin – grab it here.
Behind The Scenes with FutureIMGR, Jacob Cusworth
Jake is a graduate of FutureIMGR – a Radio Imaging Course we run at IMGR (where I work day-to-day), a production service.
He was so good, we ended up hiring him!
Here’s what he had to say:
- The importance of clear messaging in everything you make.
- Metering. Use it to make sure you understand and see how things sound.
- Being ok with scrapping terrible ideas.
- Don’t over-egg things. Don’t put too many creative things into a single piece.
- Always keep trying to learn.
We also listened to a load fo the work Jake’s been doing – you’ll have to check the podcast out to hear that.
If you’re based in the UK and want to get involved, read more about FutureIMGR here.
Yes, it really is time for obligatory Christmas production resources.
Check out how to make your own Christmas Sound Effects in a great (but old) blog post from ASoundEffect. It’s called “The Ultimate Guide to Making Your Own Christmas Sound Effects.”
