Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball 2015
It’s getting close to Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball, and I know that everyone in Global will be rallying around and creating all the various elements for what is two nights of incredible fun. One of the major elements is the Show Opener.
What better time to revisit the Show Opener I mixed last year?
On the Saturday of night one, I posted this on instagram:
81 Tracks of madness all mixed with the O2 Arena sound system in mind, to launch two epic nights of the hottest hit music stars. Creating an amazing show opener is one of the biggest challenges I faced as Head of Production at Capital – and it was one I relished. I’ve already mentioned this in an early post in May about the Summertime Ball Show Opener.
What did I learn in my time creating these over the years?
- Manage your bass frequencies – because it’s not always about turning up bass.
- Dynamic range is key at high volumes.

With those things kept in mind, the Show Opener for 2016 will be awesome! In the meantime, check out what I did in 2015:
